Adam Haller, CFA

In my 15 years in the mortgage industry, I have helped bring the homeownership dream to reality through efforts in a variety of areas from capital markets to operations, as well as in finance and loan program design. I have worked at institutions large and small, including SunTrust, BB&T, GoPrime, Black Knight, and First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation. I decided to join the mortgage industry after a career in international finance at a large manufacturing firm as well as time in the finance department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. I knew I could serve others more by working on solving the mortgage challenges facing banks and homeowners during the 2008 financial crisis.
Academically, I have earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which provided the analytical toolkit I use to deeply understand mortgage math and how mortgages fit into a person’s lifelong financial plans. I am currently mentoring Masters students in financial mathematics to become the mortgage banking analysts of tomorrow. I earned a Master’s in International Business from the University of South Carolina, with a minor in Portuguese, and my Bachelor’s from the College of Charleston, double majoring in Economics and Spanish.
In my personal life, I am fortunate to be married with three amazing kids, and am a homeowner in Raleigh, North Carolina. When I have free time, I spend it on my family, riding bicycles on our excellent greenway system to appreciate our land, and recently completed open water scuba certification to explore the sea. I am also a member of various professional associations where I stay connected with people and ideas.
